Meet Jesse
Jesse Battles is from Etowah County. His family has lived in Northeast Alabama for seven generations. He earned degrees from Gadsden State Community College and Jacksonville State University while working his way through school.
At Jacksonville State he rebuilt the College Republicans into one of Alabama’s most active chapters. After graduating with honors he worked for Alabama’s Secretary of State, helping enforce voter ID laws and cut costs that saved taxpayers millions.
He came home to Attalla with his wife, Melissa, where he runs a small business and the family farm. Their daughter, Olenna, was born in January.

The plan for District 10
Jobs, roads, and schools first. Eleven positions in plain language, each one something he will vote on or work on in Montgomery.
Working with local elected officials
Decisions about Etowah County should be made with the mayors, councils, and commissioners who live here, not handed down from Montgomery. Jesse will work directly with local officials on infrastructure, small business, and quality-of-life projects in District 10.
Fighting for local businesses
Jesse runs a small business in Attalla and knows what a bad year feels like. He will back job creation, keep taxes and regulation favorable for investment, and push to land employers at sites like the NEAR MegaSite.
Investing in infrastructure
If Northeast Alabama is going to grow, the roads have to keep up. Jesse’s priorities:
- Repair roads and bridges across the district
- Extend I-759 in Gadsden
- Build the new Southside Bridge
Improving education
Jesse is the son of two public school teachers. He will put classroom funding first and hold the system to results, so students leave school ready for work or college.
Backing veterans and law enforcement
The current State Senator worked with Montgomery to silence Alabama’s veterans, then proposed changes to our municipalities that would have defunded local police. Jesse will restore veterans’ voice in Montgomery and make sure police departments have the funding and equipment to keep our communities safe.
Standing with farmers
Jesse runs a family farm. He will work to keep farmland in production, help family farms stay viable against rising input costs, and protect farmers’ access to markets and infrastructure.
Protecting the Second Amendment
Jesse is an NRA member and an outdoorsman. He will oppose any state or federal effort to restrict the right to bear arms.
Pro-life
Jesse is pro-life. He will vote to keep Alabama’s protections for unborn children in place.
Stopping illegal immigration
Jesse opposes illegal immigration. He supports Alabama law enforcement cooperating with federal immigration authorities and opposes sanctuary policies anywhere in the state.
Supporting President Trump
Jesse supports President Trump and will work with his administration on the issues that reach Alabama.
Protecting girls’ sports
Jesse supports keeping girls’ and women’s sports for biological females and will oppose any effort to weaken Alabama’s law protecting them.

Polls in Alabama are open 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Election Day. Bring a valid photo ID.
